Application for Admission: First Steps

Welcome to Nevada State College!

Select an option below in order to fill out the correct application

First-Year Applicants (Freshman)
Students who have earned a high school diploma (or are seniors in high school) but have never attended a college or university since high school

Transfer Applicants
Students who have attended a college or university at least one full quarter/semester after high school graduation

Returning Student Applicants
Students who have taken at least one class at Nevada State College, but have not attended classes in two consecutive semesters

Non-Degree Student Applicants
Students who are interested in taking classes at NSC, but do not intend to obtain a degree from the institution

RN-BSN Applicants Students who wish to be admitted to the RN-BSN Nursing program

Special Programs

Select an option below in order to fill out the correct application (Please note: These are for Post-Baccalaureate Programs ONLY):

  • Post-Baccalaureate Programs (Teacher Preparation and Speech Pathology) 
    Students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and intend to complete coursework leading to teacher licensure through the Nevada Department of Education. 
  • Alternative Programs (Current or Provisionally Licensed Teachers)
    Students who hold a current full-time teacher position, through the Clark County School District, and intend to complete the Alternative Route to Certification (ARC) in Autism or Generalist.
    Or students who have been accepted into the Clark County School District Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL).  (Substitute licenses excluded.)
  • Education Endorsement Programs 
    Students who intend to complete the Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and/or the Educational Technology endorsement coursework only.
